your prob right barbie just really wanted something that would move substrate around as its sand and maybe clean up waste food cus my zebs arent really that voracious or active as we all know :) theyre more couch potatoe zebs think they been watching me too much through the glass

had to google contrarian but got the rest :) makes sense at the moment my powerhead is set up to flow just along the front of caves(not much flow mind)and it does totally miss one cave that is used by one of my males pretty sure the tank is oxegenated enough with the airstones and spray bar for surf...

thanks for replys all dnt know if i wanna risk sterbai especially if theres reports of them eating zeb fry wonder would i be safer off putting in something like panda corys?

nah have tried using longer tubing but for some reason when its deep down it doesnt drag any air in and u only get flow,,think running with air pump might be the way to go will give it a try in cpl of days cheers guys

ahh see what u mean :) unfortunatly dont think itll work for my tank as its a pretty deep one and even turning powerhead at an angle with venturi working wont send current deep enough to flow past the caves,might just rely on airstones for arieation and just put powerhead down deep without venturi f...

hi jerry thanks for answer ,so do you mean u didnt stick the powerhead flush on the glass using suction cups?how did u manage to get it at an angle pointing donwards without settung the front direction nozzle down?lmk thanks darren

thanks for reply do u find that sterbai tend to take all the food leaving nothing for the zebs? and do assasin snails eat left over food and help move the sand around?

whats the best species of corydoras to put in with zebs

got sand in tank so just looking for something to move substrate around abit and something that wont threaten fry/eggs can anybody recommend best species of cory to use??also could somebody recommend a good snail to use for cleanup/ substrate agitation many thanks darren

the adult is suppose to be a w/c male approx 7 yrs old havent got a clue about the juvies which are suppose to be approx 1 yr old not the best pics but didnt want to stress them out while i did the david bailey bit :) any ideas much appreciated
