Another thought :idea: in conclusion, I know from experiance that the young require something off the parents in the water like baby discus get directly off the backs of their parents. Your zebras need to be a min of 3 1/2 years of age.
Diet is very important along with water temp and peramators.

Yes, the articale is on the L046 Zebra Pleco co written by Derek Tustin and photos by Klaus Steinhaus. I'm very proud of it and I hope everyone will enjoy it. Don't know why it takes so long to get up dates or postings on this site but i'm sure they will get to it soon. Regards Doug

L046 Zebra Plecos eat snails. Like Clown loaches they suck them clear out of their shells. I would be more suspect of the water change done just before the discovered death. Snall problem
My L046 eat the snalls, I'm finding empty shells every week while vacumming the sand. I would aviod snall be gone at any cost.
