adult live brine shrimp
Would it be safe to feed mature zebras live adult brine shrimp? If not what other types of live foods would it be safe to feed them and how do I go about getting them? Mine love blood worms but I don't know anything other than they come from the midge fly and there are concerns about it not being sa...

dominant male
After several spawns my dominant male seems to have totally abandoned his spawning cave, can anyone explain this weird behavior? Just thought I would add that he has not chosen a new cave but instead seems to be acting like the females and just meandering around the tank hiding in all the usual plac...

I purchased 6 from them and they were exactly as described. I would definitely do business with them again. I didn't have to wait but a couple of days until they arrived at my door. Just call them and I am sure that if they are in stock you will be happy

Breeding zebras
I also wanted to ask If I separated my two dominant males and put the three females that I know have breed with each male[two with dominant male and one with subdominant male] would they breed more? I am afraid to mess with them right now cause I get a fresh spawn about every 2.5 two 3 weeks. Seems ...

It's only January and they have breed 5 times and I have two females trying to get in the dominant males cave right now. I just wanted to say thanks to Riverwonders, TTA,Barbie and al...

The only thing I can get my fish to eat is bloodworm. They used to eat a homemade gelatin based food but after I bought them some frozen bloodworms they won't eat it anymore. My fry eat baby live brine shrimp and homemade gelatin shrimp and zucchini mix. If I don't feed them for a while will they st...

egg tumbler
Make sure you put a small piece of foam on the bottom with rubber band and this will help keep the fungus off of the eggs by keeping uneaten food and detritus out. I raise what few I've spawned in tumblers but it's best if you let them develop into fry first or the fungus will almost certainly kill ...

bulldogs needed badly.
I have posted about this once before but my brother is still trying to get as many adults as possible. These will be used for research purposes only! He is doing his post graduate work at University of Kentucky on genetics and ichthyology. These fish will most certainly attempted to be bred but the ...

tap water
After finally getting my zebs to breed three times combining in a grand total of 11 viable fry they just quit. I thought it was something I did but upon further investigation I have discovered that my tap water varies wildly in ph, gh,kh, and nitrates. I need some kind of stability but am at a loss ...

Ended up with 3 little guys with no egg sacs, I left them in the tank and know I can't find them. Last night I saw one baby eating gelatin food but no sign of the other two. I know they have not been sucked up in the filter because the intakes are covered with sponges. Hopefully they will all make it.

Found another clutch of eggs in the same cave this morning and the male is guarding the cave with his whole body. Maybe he can get it right this time!

The female laid the eggs during the night before last but the male kicked them out and I think the rest of the colony ate them. Maybe the male is just too inexperienced.
