Hi guys I'm taking a new job in Brighton, unfortunately this means selling my main fish tank (fortunately i have the space still for my zeb set up). If anyone is interested in a cheap juwel vision 450l tank then please look at my listing. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bow-Fronted-Juwel-Vision-450L-Aq...

Hi eklikewhoa, unfortunately, the algae is growing on plants (as well as wires and the heater). So a blackout isn't really a viable option, nor is removing the plants. I was thinking more along the lines of some sort of chemical remedy that someone has used. Thanks.

Beard Algae

Hi, has anyone used any treatments for beard algae in a zebra tank. We're not 100% sure it is beard algae but I have seen photos of hair algae and it doesn't look quite the same.

Thanks

I think Imer is referring to me. http://www.zebrapleco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2064 Mr Budge I would guess is the gentleman Neil that I referred to. From what I managed to decipher from Imer's post it seems he has got Andrew and i confused and is saying that I (although he is directing it at Andre...

Hi Bader Imer did not send the fish to Edinburgh when we got that phone call (as far as we know). Its just that we had said we cannot get to Edinburgh, so I do not know why he would have tried to have arranged some sort of transport there. Unless someone would deliver the fish from there to Newcastl...

Bluectriscal

Hi everyone, sorry to open another post on bluectriscal but this has to be said. I sent Imer £310 in November of last year for two adult female zebras. It was made VERY (capitals as it was said three times) clear that I could only collect the fish from Newcastle as I don't drive. He it was fine and ...

Short of stealing them from a science lab, I don't know where you would get them. If McEve means Hydrochloric acid that can be used to make explosives (given the correct equipment and knowledge) and so is not available to the general public as far as I'm aware. Companies do sell it, but generally on...

I wouldn't worry. I have owned zebras since November last year and only saw mine feed for the first time two days ago. I just put the food in the tank before I go to bed, and its gone the next day.

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd jump in on this forum, as inbreeding was lectured on at length in one of my university genetics lectures recently. (It was the Royal Family Plastic Mac lol). I don't know what people know and don't know on this subject, but to sum it up simply in a few words, it isn't g...

Hi andrewcoxon, I have tried to get some photos. However, my male is making things pretty difficult. One other problem is that the tank is on the floor. Lol I'll be getting a stand soon enough. Sorry for the silly question, but how do you add an image to a post? Oh one other thing. I know peo...

Hi guys, It was a freezing cold day with snow to add to the lack of warmth. However the day before (Saturday) we had promised ourselves to go to Joe Hill Aquatics at Whitely Bay. So after a 30 minute ice walk and 30 minute metro ride (there was work on the line) we made it . Just to chip in here its...

100cm long 30cm deep and 45cm deep. However, I did measure these just now very roughly with a ruler and torch.Ididn't turn the fish room light on as my male ancistrus has the female trapped in his cave. So, these vaues are very approximate.
