I'm not sure I see the problem :) The snails will eat any leftovers, they can be used to artificially hatch eggs, they contribute to the ecological balance of the tank and - the Zebras do eat them! They're not pretty though, I admit, still  for the little black snails! Do not put loaches in ...

Don't think they made it back to Xingu... IBAMA apprehended yesterday a big quantity of fish you adorn in the airport of Santarém/Equal. The number of animals was estimated in more of thousand. The documentation for the transport of the fish was not presented, neither there are information about the...

I've been through a similar ride with Eheim recently. I would advice you to ask for an insurance claim form. Ruto will have an insurance against things just like this, so insist on getting the form, or ask who the insurance company is, then get in touch with them and say you want to file a claim. Do...

Have a look at http://www.zebrapleco.com/article2.php it's few general guidelines in the article. Well oxygenated water seem to be more important than the current itself, except when you want them to spawn. 75L might be a bit small... not nessesarily because the zebs need more space, but it might be...

Every new Zebra owner is worried, as they are precious. :) I wouldn't worry about them not using the caves, they're only babies yet, and would feel more secure in the company of eachother. If the food is gone in the morning then they're eating, so no need for concern there. Just make sure you keep t...

I think I'll let them settle in first  It does feel so good to see them back in the house though, already feel like I have the tatter of little feet - m...

Thanks guys :) I picked it out as a female, but got unsure about this one when I got a closeup pic of all of them. There's still a matter of educated guess for me, except with a grown male, they're easy enough.... Thanks for your feedback, if it indeed is a female I have 4 males and 6 females. It fe...

Back in business

Finally I got hold of a nice group, so I can start working with Zebras again. I have the other 9 pretty much covered, but I'm unsure about this one... This is the smallest one in the group, but should still be sexable...? I'd be glad to hear your opinions.

Thanks for your time

Please people, keep it friendly. Dave, your choice of words is yet again inflammatory and rude. If you'd like to make a point, please, do, but belittling the same people you're gifting with your presence is a sure way to receive a less than warm reception. It's basic social skills. If you don't wan...

Latest news about Eheim 2128. It happened to another Zebrakeeper in Norway, fish cooked overnight. This time Eheim aknowledge the problem and says that all 2128 filters produced from 2004 to week 15 in 2007 have a flaw that can cause the thermostat to fail with this result. They have since week 15 2...

Hi guys. I just wanted to say thank you for the great times we've shared over the years.
