Lets see if what I have read on here is actually sticking in my head. Those of you who really know what they are doing may have to come correct any of my mistakes… Every post on this I have read says to remember oxygen saturation is more important than flow. That being said… What filter do you have?...

This made me laugh... picturing all the zeb owners perched on a reclining chair 6 ft away from their tanks watching the zebs with binoculars.

Just dont tell my husband, he already laughs when i talk to my fish... so telling him i want fish to watch through binoculars?!?! I dont think so.

Could you do both? Take advantage of selling high on AB. Then sell for your lower amount to a select few that pass your inspection...the ones that want to breed and to do it right. That being said, you should ignore it, because i am one that does not have any zebs and would love to buy some of yours...

I get what you are saying about duplicating everything (you can do that in a big tank as well) The part that scares me about central filtration is that all water is connected and if one tank would break, all the tanks would be drained. I guess it would only drain to the water level of the intake val...

Re: 20 gal long...good enough?

I hear you TTA, but I would be so scared of leaving all my breeders in just one tank. What is something goes wrong with that specific tank? Once I was away for a weekend and came back to a flooded floor and found a cracked 55 gal tank with Discus gasping for air in whatever water remained. I guess,...

hello all

I have wanted some zebs ever since I saw my first one at the LFS in 2002. I should have bought it then at $60. But I guess it was a wise choice to leave him there as I was there checking out prices and availability on other fish for my first aquarium. [/b] Being in college and moving 2 times a year,...

sorry, to bring this up a month later, but i have a few questions about some of the answers on this post. If you leave the fry in the breeding tank...

How big of a tank is it?
How many adults are there?
How long are the fry in there (how long until large enough to sell?)

thanks for your answer. It helps to get a right out answer, and not to have to read a dozen posts and try to figure it out from there. Although, i am getting closer to reading all the posts here, so i guess it does not really matter in the end. :)

ahhh!!!! I want to bid, but if i can get them at a low price without paying shipping, i would feel really stupid paying so much more. :x Well, he says he has a big colony, hopefully if it all does not work out right now, there will be more opertunities later...
