I think the whole ananerobic, hydrogen sulfide pocket issue is WAY overblown - I have yet to meet someone in real life who has run into a problem with this. I'd agree - I'm not denying it happens - I can confirm that it does - but its not the massive problem its made out to be... I've got dark sand...

Zebs for sale - F1's over 1".

We're moving home and I don't want to be moving more fish than I need to. I'm listing these for sale as collection only. (Milton Keynes) All are first generation from our wild adults. Approx 8 monts old and over 1" - feeding well on mixed dry foods. £100 - for one zeb £150 - for two zebs £200 -...

We've got 5 wildadults - 2 pairs are spawning - the Alpha and Beta males caused issued for a while - I seperated them for about 8 months and since putting htem back together (with no spawns from either pair) we had successful spawns again - The Beta male still hasnt got eh hang of it though and the ...

I ran a 35L nano for about a year - got bored of it to be honest as it was too small for fish really - the temp wans't that stable due to the lighting....

Looked good while it lasted though :)

Re: Snall problem

My L046 eat the snalls, I'm finding empty shells every week while vacumming the sand. I would aviod snall be gone at any cost. Ours eat them too :) again - I'd avoid anything that will result in a lot of dead and therefore decaying matter in the tank... I have sand substrate and run a large mesh ne...

86 is a lot higher than I keep ours - Ours take about 6 months to reach 1" I have found that they grow better when kept with the parent - Probubly due to the fact that I feed the tank more :) another theory i have is that they grow more if they are more active - I have 6 in a breeding trap that...

Hi! The bottom fish looks like a young male ("triangular" head shape) ...but don't you think his fins look underdeveloped? Agreed on the fins. As for sexing them - its nigh on impossible at that size. Our 5 adults at 4" were sexed as 5 males... 2 of them and now providing eggs... :ro...

Cant imagine how your feeling right now - and dont want to :(

There is a thread (or threads) on here somewhere about exactly the symptoms you have had and the same sort of death rate...

I'll have a quick search for you - at least it might help shed some light on the reasons :(

Zebras for sale - Milton Keynes.

I took a look in their tank last night and was surprised by the amount of good sized fry we have. They are First generation (F1) from wild parents, imported well before the ban. People are more than welcome to come and see them - and hopefully people on here will vouch for me :) I'll put 5 for sale ...

I just drop one in when i see a little battle scaring...

I am using htem in a higher dose in the L183 tank along with peat to alter the water to try and get a spawn (and to keep them healthy as they are always fighting)

Anyone tried Oak leaves - I've heard they have the same properties...??
