G'day from New Zealand

Hmmm...what else can I say!

G'day from New Zealand

Postby kiwizebra » Fri Jul 23, 2010 7:16 am

Hi guys,
I've always been a bit of a pleco nut and when some zebs were finally imported into New Zealand after an absence of many years I couldn't help myself, I just had to get some even though they cost me an arm and a leg. I'm looking forward to growing my zebs through to adulthood and perhaps getting them to breed if I'm lucky enough.
I look forward to chatting with you guys and gals, I'm sure that I will learn plenty from you all

Here's a pic of mine taken the day the arrived. They had only been out of quarantine for a few days They have grown about 1cm since then and are looking plumper and healthier.

Welcome on board Kiwizebra

If my memory serves me correctly we have had a few board members from a number of years back stating how difficult it was to get zebras out your way, so congrats on getting hold of some.

Good luck and enjoy the site.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I am aware of only 24 zebs that have recently come into N.Z from Singapore. Of course there may have been more that I don't know about.
Many of them are still sitting in retailers tanks as the asking price is as high as $890 NZD each.

 it would be cheaper to move to Blitey (UK) than set up a large group in NZ

Isn't NZ the home of Zebra, Warrior Pleco? :dizzy:
